Tim Schenkel is a seasoned commercial roofing expert, focusing on flat roofs. He thrives on the team dynamic and the unexpected, entertaining moments that work brings. Outside of work, Tim is a passionate fisherman who loves spending weekends at his Indiana cottage, immersing himself in nature's beauty.

Tim brings over two decades of roofing experience to Hamstra, with twelve years specializing in commercial roofing. His career took flight when he was referred to a company by a friend. Initially, he worked on metal tasks, such as chimney flashing and standing sea metal roofs, occasionally dabbling in shingling.

“Although there have been challenging moments, the camaraderie with the team has always been enjoyable. Working side by side with a good group of people, laughing, and helping each other keeps the workday entertaining.”

When the company needed help in the commercial flat roofing segment, Tim embraced the opportunity. The less physically taxing and safer work environment appealed to him. When the head of the division, Mark, moved to new construction, Tim stepped in, relishing the chance to take on a different role.

His commercial roofing experience is rich in challenges and memorable moments, mostly due to unpredictable weather. However, the camaraderie within his crew of ten keeps the atmosphere lively. Beyond roofing, Tim is an outdoor enthusiast who cherishes his retreats to his lakeside cottage. His weekends are filled with fishing, hosting friends, and enjoying fireside gatherings, making lasting memories with his friends' children.
