Jim Jonker, Outside Production Manager

Jim, a roofing expert since 1984, solves various challenges, notably difficult roof leaks, always ensuring quality solutions for clients.

“I began my journey here in 1984, right after college. Back then, our team consisted of around five individuals. My role evolved into a problem-solver, often called upon to rectify any issue that arises during a project.” — Jim Jonker

Beginning his career post-college, Jim quickly adopted multiple roles within the industry. As a 'fixer,' he frequently resolves on-site issues, with tricky roof leaks being a specialty. Observing vast industry changes, from hand-nailing shingles to meeting modern OSHA requirements, Jim adapts to the job's evolving nature. He's witnessed significant shifts, especially in the flat roofing sector with the advent of new products.

“Being in quality control means being in charge of everything. If there's a problem, my task is to step in and fix it.”

Working predominantly on residential and multifamily properties, he educates customers on roofing basics, emphasizing that roofs typically garner attention only when replacement is needed.

In his leisure, Jim savors outdoor activities. A father to four, he upholds the belief that roofing will always be crucial as everyone requires a shelter. He maintains equal treatment for all customers, aiming for memorable service that'll have them return when a new roof is needed.
